Our Vision
Healthy Day’s vision is to empower food insecure children, seniors, active military, veterans, and marginalized populations to grow their own food and be less reliant on handouts. We can end local hunger, improve public health, and grow more resilient communities by growing food at home, and donating excess produce to help nourish neighbors in need. We also believe that school lunches across the nation can and should reflect how much we value our children. We create and elevate school farm and garden programs where students have an opportunity to grow organic fruits and vegetables for the cafeteria, and to connect general education directly to the school lunch program, to student health, and the health of the planet. Equal access to healthy, quality food and education is a basic human right, regardless of zip codes or income levels.
Everyone deserves a Healthy Day!
